To promote and develop the game of lacrosse in the Viera Suntree area of Brevard County Florida.

A Viera Suntree Lacrosse welcome

Why Lacrosse?

Lacrosse is a sport with a history older than our country.

It is a game that teaches hand-eye coordination in abundance and requires an amount of cardio vascualr activity that can't help but promote a healthy lifestyle. The culture is competitive but rooted in not only developing good athletes but good students and future leaders in our community.

Where do we start?

Learning the game is the fun part.

Our free instructional clinics are run by experienced coaches (many of which are former high school and college players in addition to having years of coaching experience) and are offered throughout the year to introduce and teach fundamental lacrosse skills to prospective players.  No gear purchase is necessary, only a protective mouth piece, and loaner sticks are available upon request. Join our mailing list to receive the latest information on clinics and other playing oppotunities.

Developmental Recreational Spring Lacrosse

Rec. lacrosse is at the heart of what we are all about.

Our Vipers teams play on modified fields and follow U.S. Lacrosse guidelines using smaller fields and smaller teams to ensure players get more time on the field and more contact with the  ball. Practices generally start around the first week of February, with an 8 week Saturday game schedule generally set to start the first week in March.

Boys and Girls Venom Travel Lacrosse

Travel lacrosse is a next step for players who want that extra challenge.

Our club also offers the opportunity for players to tryout for our competitive fall and spring travel teams.  Tryouts are generally run in September for fall and December for spring. Our Venom boys teams play in the competitive Florida Travel Lacrosse League (FTLL) on Sundays in three divisions, 10U, 12U and 14U.  FTLL provides a tournament style format comprised of the best teams in the state of Florida. Our Lady Venom teams have the opportunity to play competitive teams from South Florida throughout the early spring. Our boys and girls Venom teams also take part in tournaments in the fall and summer. Fall tournamnets take place in November and December while the summer tournaments run through the months of May and June.

Recreational Fall Lacrosse

Fall lacrosse came about to accomodate ever growing lacrosse community.

After years of spring and summer lacrosse there came a time when we realized our community wanted more and creating a local fall league was the answer. In the fall, Vipers offer boys and girls an all-local in-house league similar to our spring rec. format.  All games are played on Sunday afternoons at Viera Regional Park with one week day practice held per week.  The modified format enables more touches of the ball ideal for player development and for players new to the game.
